Lessons Learned from an Outdoor Kitchen

outdoor kitchen

Recently got the outdoor kitchen done.

Some of the lessons learned……

  1. When building a new home, pls get capped hot and cold water plumbing done as it will save you substantial money and time in the future when you build an outdoor kitchen.
  2. When building a new home, pls get capped electrical points done as it will save you substantial money and time in the future when you build an outdoor kitchen.
  3. When building a new home, pls get the gas plumbing point done as it will save you substantial money and time in the future when you build an outdoor kitchen.
  4. When building a new home, pls get the drainage point done as it will save you substantial money and time in the future when you build an outdoor kitchen.
  5. In an old house, if the above provisions are not there, then you will have to get them from inside the kitchen and create all these points. Engage insured and trusted tradie as there is a chance of cutting the gas/electrical/water pipes that are running on the inside walls of the house. Damage to them will cost a lot to repair.
  6. For an outdoor fridge, I found a good website…https://www.bar-fridges-australia.com.au/
  7. Appliances can be bought from websites like appliances online, Kogan, good guys, etc
  8. BBQ has a lot of options, for example, portable ones or embedded bbq ones, or bbq withstand.
  9. There is an option for LPG or natural gas.
  10. Stone slab has the option of granite/Caesarstone etc and better to go with waterproof cabinets.
