WhatsApp has a relatively new feature that allows you to lock and hide chats. Here’s how you can use it:

How to Lock a Chat

1. Open WhatsApp and click on the chat of the person you want to lock.

2. Click on the person’s name at the top of the chat.

3. Select the “Chat Lock” option from the menu.

Once you do this, the chat with this person will move to the locked chats section in WhatsApp, as shown in the image below.

How to Hide a Chat

1. Go to the locked chats section.

2. Click on the three dots at the top right corner.

3. Select “Chat Lock Settings”.

In the Chat Lock Settings, you will see options to set a secret code to hide the chat completely.

This feature helps keep your private conversations secure and hidden from prying eyes.

Now the chats under locked chats will be hidden and the name of these people will not come in whatsapp list.

To unhide these chats, one has to put the secret code in the whatsapp search bar and once you put the secret code, the chats will become unhidden
